Do I need an appointment?

Yes, The Hills Piercing Studio operates appointment only. This ensures that adequate time is allocated for each booking.

How do I make an appointment?

For bookings please call or text 0423 966 941 or message us on Instagram or Facebook.

Messages are preferred as on a busy studio day it is difficult to answer phone calls.

Can I use my own jewellery?

No, we unfortunately are unable to use client jewellry for sterilisation, compatibility and insurance purposes.

Do you pierce kids ears?

Yes, we offer kids earlobe piercings for 4 years old and over.

We offer needle work piercings only, we do this for many reasons;

• It’s less painful than the force of any ‘gun’ type system as the needles are sharp create the hole with ease without blunt force trauma devices use.

• Most importantly needlework is hygienic as everything is single use and sterilised - guns can’t be sterilised and in turn are a major concern as they spread blood borne pathogens and bacteria between clients - this is a well known fact these days despite their use in most places.

• We do get a straighter result as the needle will rest directly on the mark before piercing. Guns often miss the mark completely because they free shoot roughly 1cm away from the mark and the drag down method of the release can cause a tear to the holes.

• We take sterilisation and cross contamination incredibly seriously the business; we import and use single use marking pens for each client.

• Unfortunately the normal practice is to use the same pen over and over again, spreading bacteria and infection into the blood stream as we pierce on that dot.

Occasionally some use Emla cream prior to coming. It must be applied 1.5 hours prior, thickly to the front and back of the lobe and then reapplied half an hour prior.

We use earrings with a flat back so that they are much more comfortable and heal a lot quicker than any butterfly clip type system.

Earrings are made from implant grade verified Titanium.

How much does it cost to get a piercing?

Our prices are based on a piercing procedure fee plus the jewellry cost. Jewellry prices will vary greatly depending on style, material and gem settings. Get in touch for us to provide a price for your specific request.
